Pirate Tribes of the Windy Archipelago

The rugged island chain of islands, known as the Windy Archipelago , that separates the warm waters of the Hellespont Ocean  and the frigid Odrysae Ocean  has always been an unsafe place for sea travellers to visit. Be it be the ferocious storms that are a constant possibility in the area, the unpredictable strong ocean currents that race between the narrow passages between the islands, or the constant menace of Sea pirates, The area is known best to be avoided.   Within these islands, four groups of Pirate Tribes become established centuries ago, dividing up the archipelago amongst themselves. Even today these four Pirate Tribes cast a long shadow over the security and the economy of the entire region. These days the Pirate Tribes run all facets of the economy within their territory, being entrenched in what is essentially four pirate-run nation-states.   The Four Pirate tribes are listed below with their geographic base of operations.
The Ouri Warlord Tribes The Aijal Islands
The Toshi and Fuu Tribes The Hoyes Islands
The Aru Tribes The Ceuta Islands
The Zee Tribes The Xiquo Islands
They each have very different styles of Government however they still have seafaring and often Pirating as their major industry. In this, the longstanding scourge of the southern waters continues to this day. Still affecting the whole region and keeping surrounding nations' trade routes close into the shorelines so as not to be intercepted by the pirate armadas. These Pirate Armadas often have between 30 to 50 ships of different sizes and can easily intercept and overpower all but the largest of trading ships. Often the navy of the surrounding countries will also avoid the pirates unless they are also in a group of ships sufficiently able to meet the pirate's strength. The four Pirate Tribes however will never attack the ships of the other tribes, having honour between thieves, therefore ensuring long term peace between the different tribes.
