Dwarf
Dwarves are short, stocky, headstrong humanoids that can commonly be encountered in the Centre of Exapolis, albeit not as commonly as humans.
Dwarven culture values craftwork and design. Dwarves can often be found in important positions in workshops and factories of Exapolis. Most advanced Exapolitan devices, either running on radium or channeling Divine power, were designed by competent dwarves. In their own lives they tend to exploit the powers of the Divine less than other races; outliers would say this is because they are less favoured than other species, but scholars posit that it is because of cultural behaviour; notably a strong, sometimes stubborn will, and a refusal to bow to power. This mentality, combined with the lack of policing from not caring about Divine powers, means that dwarven organisations in Exapolis are ready to enforce the greater good, or personal good, without regard to consequence; sometimes by any means necessary. The corresponding image of dwarves has resulted in occasional dwarf discrimination, but interestingly those responsible lose any Divine powers they had.
Dwarves used to be the most populous beings in the Centre, but as years go by their numbers dwindle. This may be because of their long lifespan and corresponding lower birth rates than other sapient species in the Centre. Nowadays, the majority of Exapolis dwarves live deeper in the City, close to the lower boundary of the town. Most dwarves will claim this is for practical reasons, being close to the remaining cobalt deposits, few will express that they feel somewhat drawn to the natural bedrock. Outsider dwarves visiting the Centre often express both immense interest for the magnificent craftsmanship of the town and a contrasting distaste for the lack of organic stone.

Major Organizations
A notable proportion of dwarves from the Centre of Exapolis are a part of Eldfall, an ancient dwarven organisation. Eldfall provides a warm community for dwarves that feel sometimes alienated in modern Exapolis.
Common Myths and Legends
The urban legend running within both dwarven and non-dwarven communities is that Exapolis was originally a dwarven town, built by dwarves. Their aptitude for crafting and their former majority in the city is proof in the eyes of some, the influence of the Divine and the corresponding incompatibility with dwarven culture discredits this for others.
