Giant Horny Toad (Giant Lizard Variant)

The giant horny toad has a squat, flattened body and a blunt nose like a toad, but its life cycle and physiology are that of a giant lizard. Each species is distinguished by the number, size, and arrangement of the crown of horns on its head. This giant lizard has spines on its back and tail that are modified reptile scales, while the horns on its head are true bony horns. Horny toads come in shades of red, brown, yellow, and gray and can change their color to a certain extent to camouflage themselves against their surroundings.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The giant horny toad has developed a peculiar defensive strategy, where most giant lizards use their bite attack, the giant horny toad shoots a stream of its acidic blood out of its eye socket. This effect replaces the normal melee bite attack (piercing damage) with a ranged attack (acid damage) but the damage die+mod & the to hit modifier stays the same. (Homebrew)
