Corellon
Corellon — Overview
Corellon (Leading High Elf City) is the largest metropolis in Evonire, as demonstrated by its population, trade routes, flourishing economy, and territory. Aside from that, it is the most respected. Corellon Rule functions by order of the High Elf council and capitalism. Notably, it has the longest-standing history of any city in Evonire.
Overview, cont. (to be refined):
Corellon is a territory dominated by High Elves and established immediately after the Second Burning. The capital city, Corellon itself, is lavish and expensive. Think Ba Sing Se. As an organization, they occupy a large portion of territory under Corellon rule. If there's anything like an empire in Evonire, Corellon is it.
Like its partner High Elf city, Morfester, the inhabitants of Corellon's rule value material goods over technological progress. They are often too vain for their own good, a fatal flaw they have yet to realize. Respect and honor are of utmost importance within the inner circle. In the higher class, families will brand themselves with their family crests on their back, making backless clothing popular—almost necessary—at social events such as galas. (But jess so in a political environment, as it's a very showy gesture)
The Corellon High Elf Sovereign and Advisor's Ring (a ring of advisors for the sovereign) keeps up good looks and, less importantly, a solid infrastructure under their rule. Competition with The Settlement of Guilds fuels this desire. Smaller towns under Corellon rule are run by mayors or governors—some elected, some generational, depending on the town—and most of the town leaders are bribed to make their towns flourish so they can continue expanding territory. It's a sought-after position, really.
Corellans also have a distinctive look to them and an accent. Nearly all types of elves and dragonborn come from there. The attitude towards outsiders in the more homogenous cities is generally as expected.
