Theria (a.k.a. The Blackbird)
Physical Description
Theria is fit, if small. She has a very strong presence, almost an aura of physical competence. Dispite scars from countless knife fights, she seems in very good health.
Her skin is a rich burgundy, and her eyes are jet black. She has several thin scars, most of which seem to have heeled well. Her hair is dark, and messily cut.
She has thin brows and prominent cheekbones. Her face is perpetually split by a crooked, mean spirited, smile.
She has a trace work of black and grey tattoos running up her arms that resemble some sort of diagram of Everfall's world systems. She also has tattoos along her shoulder blades in the same style that form the shape of feathered wings.
Her smile is fixed, it shows her anger, and her cocky self assuredness, but it hides much much more.
Theria Blackbird is a very talented grey sorcerer.
Theria wears an outfit very reminiscent of a gentleman's suit, though it is tighter in some areas, and sports a much lower neckline.
Her suit is cut to allow complete freedom of movement. She also carried no less than a dozen knives and daggers at any given time, as well as a few choice minor magical items.
Mental characteristics
Theria was raised in an orphanage alongside her older sister
Nara. When her older sister was adopted by the lord and lady of house Coldbrand (who were unable to have children of their own) the young Theria was left to fend for herself.
When it became clear to Theria that, unlike her sister, she wasn't going to be whisked off to a life of luxury in a manor somewhere, she ran away from the orphanage. She came to regret that decision, but it made her thoug, and flexible, like steel tempered by the fire.
Though the two sisters do make intermittent contact, Theria and
Nara mostly ignore eachother.
Theria had no teacher but the streets. She learned their lessons well.
Tharia Blackbird is the leader and creator of
The Black Eyes who run much of the criminal enterprise in
Opus. Theria herself is competent in hand to hand combat, but she excels as a grey sorcerer, and an under the table
system seer.
Theria started with nothing, but she managed to build up her empire by the end of her teenage years. By her mid twenties, she held most of the power from the shadows of
Opus.
Theria failed to get adopted, and she has failed to out think
Governor Thequen Fenro in every confrontation the two have had.
In her mind she was never good enough to be wanted. She wasn't adopted, and her sister abandoned her.
Unstable, cunning, loyal, duplicitous.
The world gives everyone exactly what it owes them, and that's nothing. If you want something, it's up to you to take it. If you have something, it's up to you to keep it.
Betraying friends or family.
Personality Characteristics
Theria wants recognition. She doesn't care about building things, and she doesn't care about morality. She has no need of a legacy, as long as nobody she speaks with can safely ignore her.
She is a very good dancer. She is terrible at keeping her cool, she is abysmal at cards.
She is quite fond of birds, the sounds of Tradesman's Walk at mid day, and sweets. She hates the color blue, games of chance, the smell of horse, and people who don't stand by their friends or family.
Ambitious, clever, cunning, loyal.
Duplicitous, unstable, immoral, angry.
When she is truly angry, her smile turns into a full snear.
She is a bit grimy, but compared to most of the thieves and toughs she associates with, she is very put together.
Social
There is a mutual respect between The Blackbird and
The Governor, though the two have more of an adversarial sort of relationship. She also both trusts and mistrusts her good friend and loyal lieutenant
Hedric Sivlerbow.
Though Theria is in contact with her sister
Nara, the two ignore each other for he most part. Theria thinks of the original members of
The Black Eyes as family, and she is much closer to them than to anyone who she is related to by blood.
"Its a great scam, possibly the most successful I've ever seen"
She is more domineering than charismatic. One could easily find themself falling into her orbit.
Theria tends to swagger, and talk over others when she can get away with it.
Theria has a pet crow named Bird upon whome she dotes.
Her speech tends to ether the langued, or the very quick.
Trusted subordinate and friend (Vital)
Friend and crew boss (Important)
History
Thedric Silverbow met The Blackbird when both were young. Her fierce loyalty was a very stark contrast to the brutal competition of his family. Eventually, Thedric executed an extremely debilitating betrayal of his family which allowed Theria to execute her takeover of most of their resources. Following this, Thedric joined the Black Eyes as one of The Blackbirds lieutenants.
Nicknames & Petnames

Relationship Reasoning

Commonalities & Shared Interests
Both are tied to eachother, and the continued success of the The Black Eyes.
Shared Secrets
Thedric is one of the few who knows about Theria's sister Nara, and her time in the orphanage. Theria let him in a very emotionally charged moment, but she is no longer sure about the wisdom of that decision. She is afraid he will let her secret slip, or use it against her. He hasn't yet.
Theria doesn't prosue wealth as anything other than a means to an end, and to that end, she has amassed quite a fortune. She has no qualms about spending any amount of money to get her way.
