The Governor of Opus is elected from among the members of The Opus City Council.

Requirements

Any potential Governor of opus must attain a leadership position in an influential noble family, or major trade guild in the city of Opus.

Duties

The Governor of Opus is responsible for ruling the city of Opus. Though their official authority does not extend beyond Opus, The Governor of Opus also exerts massive control over other cities and leaders of Everfall.

The Governor of Opus is responsible for setting policy, and for diplomatic relations with other leaders of other groups and settlements.

The Governor of Opus is the most powerful man or woman in all of Everfall. They also have the ability to set policies that may benefit themselves, or their interests.

The position is symbolized by a large pendant worn around the neck.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The power of the Governor can be revoked by The Opus City Council by a vote with a majority larger than the one which elected that Governor.
