Demographics

Most of the population is High-Elven, Human, and Half-Elven. Some of the minorities include Halflings, Gnomes, and Wood-Elves.

Government

An elected town council governs day to day business, and they have a Council Speaker, who answers to the Governor of Reustacei Show map description and is appointed by them.

Defences

A wooden palisade with several watch towers shields the town from the Miseriae Silvam and the dangerous entities that exist within. 
The Auxillia stand sentinel over these fortifications.

The town owns several saw and pulp mills in the surrounding forests.

The local Adventurer's League outpost is always busy, as monster attacks are very common in the area.

Assets

The crème of the crop in the town is Modestus’ Modest Inn and Shop, which boasts both a homely in and well stocked store for travellers. Modestus Harnelli and his small family have run the business for ten years. They are friendly and take great care to help weary travellers.

Tourism

Dessisaboan's Bridge is the oldest bridge in Systre. This low stone crossing was the location where Dessisaboan Revarin made her famous last stand against Oniok the Forrest Ripper. Now, the bridge bears here statue.
Moonlight Meadow is a small clearing that has a large series of stones within it. The towns folk avoid it, as many elders talk of evil spirits that congregate there.

Architecture

It adheres to the post Roman Architectural Revolution styles. Most buildings are made of clay fired brick or Roman concrete. Some of the monuments and prominent buildings are made from imported marble or locally sourced granite.

Geography

The town rests deep within the Miseriae Silvam along the banks of the River of Lacrimae. This temperate wood is home to many strange beasts.

Natural Resources

The primary and most highly exploited resource in the settlement is wood from the surrounding forest. 
Monsters are also prized by local Slayer's Guild members.
