Voda-Shaddai has two cities, and it was never night in either. Thanks to the precision of Verin terraformers, the cycle of night and day lasted exactly six hours each. When it was day in the city of Voda it was night in the city of Shaddai.
Voda is the more political of the cites, boasting impressive statuary, an elegant capitol building, and a diverse and elegant display of Pact refinement and regalia. Rent and home ownership are down in the outer parts of the city, but efforts are underway to revitalize the community.
Shaddai meanwhile, is the more mercantile focused of the cities, with stalls, shops and merchants peddling and purchasing all manner of wares, services and goods at all times of the day. An understated elegance dominates the appearance of Shaddai, and housing is readily available, depending on which markets and what demographic you want to live near.
As long as one doesn't go out of their way to make waves, Voda-Shaddai's status as a ValuSelu Pact planet isn't really important. Rumors exist that Pact members get preferential treatment at shops and businesses; but at this time, no evidence has come forth to confirm this.
Vota-Shaddai was much like its name: it meant nothing but sounded pretty. It was a long trip from anywhere worthwhile, but a short jaunt from where we’d been and was a worthwhile destination unto itself. Besides, I’d heard that time had made its handcrafted vistas prettier, and I’m a sucker for a pretty world.
