L'hospitalité parlée

L'hospitalité parlée is the coded language the Hospitaliers. It is a memorized list of innocuous terms, gestures, and phrases which the Hospitalier's will say to each other to impress a point on eachother, usually by understatement so that they do not catch anyone else's attention or spread stress.

Seems obvious to me, but perhaps that's because it reminds me so much of how we Hedonites communicate when other Banners are present.

Social Control

The primary purpose of L'hospitalité parlée is to prevent foreigners from realizing their interactions on Nouvelle Planète Bordeaux are being guided and closely monitored. Any mention of the language is censored from online conversation, and the planet is still new enough that only a few people have realized that it's happenening--fewer post the info online--fewer go without that info being taken down.

We have spent a great amount of resources and time into making our world an oasis of freedoms and rights in this brutal universe, we are not going to sacrifice it for the comfort of outsiders. The Hospitaliers will weed out issues and nobody will be even the wiser--especially not the problem person.
