Chapel of the Skyward Plea
The Chapel of the Skyward Plea is located in Gorshi, and is maintained by the 7th Crow. It's primary purpose is for Soul Bleeding those Gorshian people who are afflicted with Abomination Sickness, and for caring after The King of Limbs.
The Chapel is directly above the catacombs in which the King of Limbs lives.
The path up to the Chapel struggled to establish itself among the many headstones, sarcophagi,memorials, and mausoleums which blanketed the seep crag off stone. The Chapel reached up above the rest of the city, a lighthouse holding back the shadows and a belltower to ring into the night, to say "we yet live, find us."
It was a call which few answered these days.
The courtyard of the Chapel was once a rich mosaic of masonry and tiles, an homage to the the nearly forgotten prophet, the Somnolent, and to the Metatron Wheel of the Somme faith. People once worshipped there, but only the dead collect on that space now—shambling revenants who look after the town and the living even in death.
In the center of the mosaic dais is the statue of an angel long forgotten. Her head is in shambles, lost to time, and the basin of the fountain is similarly broken. Her hand raises to the stormy skies, lost, pleading for mercy and denied through destruction.
The 7th Crow stands in the belltower, trembling against the cold and the rain, watching for arrivals.
