Bermudian Declaration of Sovereignty
The Bermudian Declaration of Sovereignty is the 'document' delivered to the Hand of the GrandMaster after they attempted to reintegrate the Bermuda with the ValuSelu Pact.
The document was a list of greviances as well as a statement announcing the Junkberg Bermuda as a Banner-less entity, in what many thought would be a suicidal move. The document has not faltered yet.
I heard the story of the Declaration. Basically a big ol' carved chunk of metal that said "fuck you" to the Bannerists.
I like the fact that it still has the brains of one of the original Hands on it.
A Message Loud and Clear
The Declaration of Sovereignty was carved by a union of scrappers who believed that integration of the Pact would lead to subjugation of the Humans and Verin aboard. They wanted to be Bannerless, to live their own lives within the depths of the Wayhall.
A piece of ship hull was filed and polished, carved with the will of the authors and hardened into a sturdy and sharp square. When the Declaration was presented to the Hand, the hand waved it away. They thought they knew best, but they did not know of the kinetic mage that presented it.
The Martyr cast the decree forward, decapitating the head of the Hand of the Grandmaster leaving them leaderless. It was the start of an open rebellion, and lead to the toppling of the Hand.
A Musuem Piece
Today, the declaration is kept in the historical archive of the Junkberg Bermuda, the glimmering sharp chunk of metal is still legible, though one end of the 'document' is warped and scorched from where it struck down the leader of the Hand.
