Flamnonia Hospital

Purpose / Function

This hospital is mainly build to heal combat injuries of dragonknight apprentices. As time gone by and elemental burn manifests more frequently they have set up a specialized station that deals exclusively with victims of energy kickback from fire and flame spells.

Sensory & Appearance

What People will see
People or patients entering the flamnonia hospital will come across a reception at which they need to register their visit or attendance for treatment. The entry hall and the rest of the building are kept light with the help of natural lighting that falls through the windows and light wall colors. Plants and seating areas are placed regularly in the corridor to maintain a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The plants can also be found in the patient rooms.
What People will Smell
The smell changes depending on the area or station that they visit. It is always a combination of several herbs with smells of various potencies that varies regarding the currently used treatments. Additionally, there is the smell of cotton fabric and wood floating in the air.

Alterations

At first, there were several big halls for short-term patients. Due to the increasing existence of elemental burn and other long and medium-term conditions, they've altered the room layout to multiple smaller rooms, which are designed to be functional but at the same time comfortable for a more extended stay.   Currently, there are the following areas:
  • A medical office for outpatient treatments
  • A big hall for around 25 short-term patients.
  • A station for patients with moderate to severe conditions that need medium-term treatment. It has smaller four to six-bed rooms for up to 100 medium-term patience.
  • A station for victims of energy kickback from fire and flame spells. It has smaller two to four-bed rooms for up to 50 long-term patients that need close-meshed treatment.
