Avian Species in Etheriel | World Anvil

Avian

The avian are counted into the beast folks. They were initially bird shapeshifters but fused - due to genetic mutation - with their second form into one individual, causing the beast form to disappear, but its main features - the feathered wings - stayed visible. The mutation lasted and created a new species - the avian - in which the offsprings inherit the wings and characteristics without reverting back to their past shapeshifter form. The wings feature various colors and sizes, and their hair tends to be the same color. They have an elven appearance similar to wood elves but have a wirier body structure. Their eye color ranges from yellow to red.
