Purpose / Function

Customs is designs to welcome human souls back into eternity. Souls arrive from all areas of Eternity, not just Earth, but anywhere that humans work. Customs serves as a central location that monitors the return of human souls and establishes the souls' first steps back in Eternity.

human souls arrive in customs and are greeted by a personal tour guide. the tour guide gently welcomes the soul and makes sure there are no transportation complications.  when the human feels competent the tour guide will escort them to the line for the waiting room where the human will be given work and living assignments.

Customs is known for being a dull and dreary place. And it can be, however, the staff does enjoy a good potluck luncheon and there are certain perks for a job well done including upgraded workspaces, snack and candy machines, and paid time off (subject to certain terms, restrictions, and fees).
