Shortly after returning to Denimos, the citizens were very unsatisfied with their current Provincial and he replaced him in an election.

The previous Provincial was a rather inept, lazy man who had gotten into office because the guilds at the time thought he was a useful idiot. However, with the popularity of the printing press leading to a dramatic drop in his popularity, and his inaction against it, he was due for replacement.
