Esuyp

In the world of Esuyp, the inhabitants live in the sky. These people have created great cities and small villages that float above the clouds. The atmosphere is made up of mostly nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide. The upper most layer is made up of hydrogen which has been harvested by the inhabitants to keep communities floating in the sky. In the cities homeostasis has been achieved by intigrated living conditions with growing plants and farming livestock together.   The surface of the world is uninhabitable due to the toxic nature of the environment. The dense clouds contain a toxic sulfur dioxide and shower the ground with acid making it nearly impossible for life to survive.   The peoples of this world have grown, developed, and thrived from birth to survive in the sky. They have developed all their technology to help sustain that lifestyle. Factions and tribes have formed over time and have conflicts from time to time over access to the most important resource, hydrogen. Different harvesting techniques have been developed to harvest Hydrogen in upper atmosphere and minerals on the ground.
