Esurience

Esurience is a world completely separate from our own universe. Currently Esurience is the name of the story that takes place in this world, as the planet is nameless, but I'm sure something will come to me soon.   The planet is mainly a water world with volatile oceans. There are two continents, Oceania and a larger unnamed continent. Oceania is a collection of archipelagos, the residents of which having learned to navigate the perilous seas.   The continent is where most of my work has been so far. There are seven countries, each unique and populated by its own colourful peoples, human or otherwise. The main story covers a somewhat post-apocalyptic take, where a plague has wiped out much of the main countries and threatens the remainders.   Notable in every country are the scars on the land left by the Avin War. The continent's largest country, the Land of Ava, attempted to conquer the rest of the continent, but were sealed off from the other countries by the Boundary, which has been standing for nearly 700 years now.   Much of the world is defined by the ability to use magic. Each race has different capabilities and a different relationship with magic. Human in this world are notably for being able to use magic, but only with the aid of an artificial focus. They are the only race known to be born with magic and without foci in which to use it.
