Fort Drypeak

• Fort Drypeak is an abandoned castle about a day’s march (for characters with an average speed of 30; mounted characters go faster, and small characters or those in heavy armor go slower) outside of the small, eponymous town of Drypeak.
  In the old days, Fort Drypeak guarded a mining settlement, but orcs overran the area. Recently, the army from Rising drove back the humanoids, and the people of Drypeak hoped that the fort would be rebuilt and used to watch the frontier—but the army has moved on, leaving the keep unoccupied.
  The townsfolk worry that humanoids or other monsters will return to Fort Drypeak and use it as a base of operations to raid the town. The army’s presence has kept the humanoids at bay so far, but everyone knows they’ve only stayed around this long to secure the road. The Republic doesn’t deploy its goliath for long.
