Nurn Darim

Nur Darim is considered the pinnacle of dwarven architecture. It's located in the capital city of Thirboldohr and its size dwarfs even the emperors palace.

Purpose / Function

It is considered the center of the dwarven faith. While the patriarch of the building is Khezotz, there are altars to all of the Skosdrin inside. The cathedral is also the home of the Hjartan Order who still hold a strong connection to the gods are able to call forth their magic to cure those who need it. The order uses the cathedral as its training center to find those that can earn the favor of the gods and also to train those that simply want to learn the more mundane aspects of medicine.

History

The construction of the cathedral was ordered by Silrun Torevir herself as a way to showcase her devotion to the old ways and placate some of the resentment of the other dwarven clans after the war. It signaled her intent to use the words of Khezotz to guide the creation and maintenance of her burgeoning empire. Across the centuries, the cathedral has been an object of cooperation as master crafters and smiths from prestigious guilds and clans improve upon it and continue its expansion and upkeep.

Tourism

The site serves as a central destination for those embarking on religious pilgrimages all across Tog Darahl. Many religious scholars visit to learn from its expansive library and to add their own stories from their regions to the archives. Common folk from all over like to come and seek the guidance and blessing of the old gods. And many warriors and adventurers come for the blessings and protections of not only the gods but also some of the ancient heroes that are buried beneath the cathedral.
