Sun Scarring

The horrific neurological disease known as sun scarring is caused when a vampire stands out in the sun for too long, hence the myth, which results in sunburns. There really is no cure other than letting the skin peel away after a time. This can lead to the skin being bright red or pink, with painful, itchy skin that's hot to the touch. The skin may also blister, cause flakiness, peeling, rashes, or roughness.
Severe sun scarring can lead to permanent damage of the epidermis, the dermis, and even the subcutaneous tissue, and may even cause the vampire to develop plaque lesions. Treatment includes pain relievers and creams to relieve itching.   *Note: While most myths state that vampires cannot walk into the sunlight, this condition proves otherwise as they do not start smoking or bursting into flames when sunlight touches them.
