The Vampire King

The Last of the Firsts

His Majesty the Undead Titan, King of the Vampires and Head of the Royal Clan (a.k.a. The Undead Titan)

I... was here... when... the Titans... walked...when... the Titans... slept... I... was... here... when... magic... dried out... for... the... first time... I was... still here... when it... came... back... I was... here... when... Humans... bled... cried... screamed... when... they pled... for... gods... to save them... I was here... when... they worshipped... the Shades... when they... fled the Shades... I always... was here...

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The Vampire King is no more than flesh and bones, as if he has not moved over a hundred years. His body has decayed, and his spirit hovers over it, not longer restricted to a physical prison. And yet, his strenght, agility and speed remain.

Body Features

The Vampire King is little more than a corpse at this point of his life. Although he used to be described as "terrifyingly handsome", the more recent descriptions of his appearance make him to be a walking zombie, rotting away with dead flesh falling off, barely any teeth left and filthy, greasy white hair falling over white dead eyes.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Not much is known about the Vampire King, other than the creature seems to have been at all major events in the history of Escos. Whether his name has only been mentioned or there have been sightings, the King of the Undead has always somehow be involved with the complex politics.   His sightings diminish during the Age of Science, and it it theorized that it is because as magic went extinct, he either died or went to sleep much like the other creatures of magic. But as soon as magic came back, he was there along with it.   It is difficult to differenciate the myth and the truth, as nowadays, the existence of the Vampire King is only known to a few select chosen. His personal Jester seems to be the only one to currently be able to see him, to the point that even other vampires have started doubting his continued survival. Despite his title, the Vampire King used to be a staunch defender of free will and even when he served the interests of his species, he only did in his personal name, only claiming to be the King when it suited him and his self-interests. Historians still can't agree whether he actually ruled over the different vampire clans, or if he was a sort of removed deified creature that the vampires worshipped.

Accomplishments & Achievements

If one think all the sightings of the His Majesty were only one single creature, then the King seems like an all-knowing deity. He was there to unify the Clans under one single banner in the Age of Titans, he participated in the negotiations between Undead and Livings in the year -220, at the start of the Age of Wonders. He was also one of the best scientists to research magic or so it was believed and was able to speak no less than ten different languages.   Finally, when magic came back, although he made himself scarce, his name was still enough to inspire fear in the hearts of any Undead hater, for he was also an accomplished fighter, to the point of being nicknamed the Undead Titan.

Intellectual Characteristics

The Vampire King has been known to have an almost godly patience, and this has manifested in the way he talks: given that he has all the time in the world, he will talk at the speed of a snail, and restart at the beginning of his sentence should he be interrupted

Morality & Philosophy

The Vampire King used to have strong morals, believing in the equality and fairness of a benevolent country instead of the "only the strongest survive" mentality of other vampires. This is why - or so it seems - that he united the clans, to let his children live the way they wanted without having to fear for their lives for being somehow "lesser" than humans.   Yet, in the Age of Blood, many believe he grew tired of having to rein in his sadistic tendencies, as the vampire society grew more and more ostracized by the human government. He stopped intervening in favor of humans, instead letting his subjects do as they wanted with their natural preys.   Finally, in the Age of Shadows, the King simply up and disappeared again, letting his Jester handle the affairs of his clan and the rest of the Vampires alone, letting Elysium grow into a terrifying death trap for both mortals and immortals.
