Somapex

An organization with closely-guarded secrets, Somapex is run by the Universal Government and advertised as a branch of "scientific exploration," largely endorsed for it's "medical miracles" and innovation in several fields, including hard-light technology research. What is kept under tighter control from the public eye is their development of nuclear weaponry, weapons of mass destruction, bio-weapons, and their experimentation upon citizens plucked from their homes. Gills, the rebel crew's scientist, is one of the few people to escape one of their "experiments" with abducting and raising Ambymanders to work for the program indefinitely. The primary Somapex facility's location is a closely-guarded government secret, hidden away somewhere in the galaxy under strict armed protection from outsiders. Their inhumane practices and abusive workplace conditions are kept confidential, instead featuring their "incredible" advancement with celebrity scientist faces such as Dr. Francis Forrester.

Public Agenda

The goals of Somapex are nonspecific and broad, but it is largely a government-funded scientific organization that produces weapon technology and experiments. Their goal at large is to keep the non-chimpkind population at bay, even at the cost of eradicating them.

Somapex is a relatively new organization to the public eye, largely funded by Elyse Acton after her election as Chairwoman. Their private history includes inhumane practices of eugenics, experimentation, stealing parts from Automatic citizens to use in technology, state-sanctioned violence, and much more.
