Willow once belonged to a clan that was from The Wastes, but when she was only 13 years old her clan was attacked and wiped out. She was the only one who survived, thanks to her naturally incredible ability to hide and blend in with her surroundings. Her speed also contributed to her survival. She fled into the jungles, surviving alone year after year. She learned to take care of herself and rely on only herself. She wasn't sure who attacked her clan or why; which led her down the path of not being able to trust anyone.
She learned to steal what she needed when the jungle couldn't provide. She traveled secretly to other clan villages, taking food or supplies that she needed, without being noticed.
10 years after her clan's death she has become a skilled thief, taking whatever interests her desires and/or needs.
Although nobody ever saw her lift anything, she was accused of stealing from a magic shop. Guards found a scroll in her pocket and assumed she stole it. However, she did in fact walk into that magic shop with said scroll already in her pocket.
