Chalul is a Lizardfolk from Bleakvale Marsh. He was in jail for four days under the accusation of manslaughter. A body was found mauled and partially eaten near where he lived. He did not kill the man but found it wasteful to leave perfectly good meat alone. His only mistake was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Unless you consider eating a body a crime (which he doesn't).
He became a Warlock because of his pact with the Great Old One out of necessity for the sake of his tribe. His pact is with Aigeadach, an elder dragon. There is currently a necromancy problem in the marsh that drives him in his quest for magical knowledge. The pact with the ancient entity causes some madness to lurk in the back of his mind. One of his Warlock quirks is that he dumps water over his head for no seemingly logical reason. Perhaps it helps drown out the voices in his head. Or maybe it aids him in hearing them better. Who can say for sure?
Chalul is quite intelligent but still values and keeps in touch with his more primal instincts. He believes in the concept of Eat or Be Eaten. His stomach knows no bounds. Chalul needs constant fuel, the fresher the meat the better. He is not a rational thinker when he is hungry.
He dabbles in alchemy and is quite knowledgeable about different flora and botany thanks to his background in the marsh. He is a pretty practical lizard but can be slow in social situations. He means well until you become a threat or provoke him too much. Then your safety is not guaranteed.
