Ariel
Born of human parents, Ariel grew up as a kind child in a small village. She became known of her differences between herself and the other children. Her ears were not as round and the color in her eyes started to fade away. She had a yearning deep inside her, something that made her feel there was more to her. She couldn't describe it, she just felt something urging her to learn more about why she was so different. When she was a young teen she decided to sneak away from home and go on a search to figure things out. Unsure of where she was even headed. She listened to her heart and just followed that urge that stayed so strong inside her.
After some travel time, she found a quiet and remote monastery. It was here that she sought who she was becoming through research. She studied and learned her family genealogy, Aasimar history, the cleric skills of healing and protection, and the beginning of some more magical arcane skills. She didn't really bother with anything besides her studies....things like learning etiquette and other social expectations that you learn as a young girl, teenage, and woman were pretty much out the window. She was who she was and she was happy with just that. She believed, "If you know yourself, there's nothing left to know." And after the last 25 years of discovering who she is and developing a strong faith in her God Oghma; all she really needed to learn is why. What purpose was she even alive for? She was given a heart to protect, but what does she protect or whom?
During her continued life in the monastery, she stumbled upon a great secret during her studies. Through her prayers and seeking her purpose in life, Oghma gave her great insight into a horrible evil that she was chosen to destroy.
She heard a whisper of a name, "Khrysahl Valley" the moment Oghma revealed her purpose. Unsure if that is where the evil was, she knew that she was at the very least being guided there. So in obedience she packed up her essentials and set on her way. Included in her essential is her hooded tunic that she wears at all times while in public to hide her racial appearance the best she can.
