Erus

Myth says that Erus was barren before the Great Architect of the Universe, Gaotu, erected nine gleaming doors through which all life, energy, and power spewed forth. What once was dead now flourished anew, teeming with colorful life. Gaotu named this place Erus after the first mortal being born on the planet. She then birthed children and taught them the ways to peer through the Doors. They became the first wizards who worshiped Gaotu and used their powers to shape the world.   Scientists tell a different story. The planet of Erus formed just like every other; rings of cosmic dust coagulated into clumps of molten stone, heating and cooling until it formed a surface. Where life came from is still a mystery, but magic doors? Leave that idea to the religious or superstitious. Scientists are now looking outward beyond their war-torn homeworld. With their eyes on the stars, they set out to explore the cosmos in search of answers and, with any luck, peace.
