Salbatanu
Geography
Two main continents rise above a large ocean, surrounded by a halo of large islands. The landscape of the continents themselves is largely flat, with mountains that rise above flat plains dotted with craters and torn by wars.
Ecosystem
The iron-rich soil is exploited by low, squat plants with broad leaves primarily of a dark red color. The dominant species of plant are the Red Lotus and related, less useful species of plant. A thriving network of fungi, the precursors to those used in Necromancy, busily infuse the soil with nutrients from dead plants and the victims of the war that forever wages on its surface.
Climate
Salbatanu is cold, with harsh winters and mild summers that allow year-round campaigning. "Blood rains" of rusty water regularly pour from the sky.
Fauna & Flora
The Red Lotus grows in abundance on the fields of Salbatanu. The only animals present are those Ch'merion that have slipped free of their handlers. Some of these monstrosities have managed to breed in the wild.
Natural Resources
Salbatanu is extremely iron-rich. Sands and rocks both are harvested and melted down for iron weapons and armor, most of which are destined for use on the fields of Salbatanu and not on Ersetu for which they are meant.
History
The world was once owned by Allatu through her chosen hero Nimmitur. N'Gar Dook traveled with an army through the Thousand League Gates and defeated Nimmitur's forces in a pitched, apocalyptic battle. He rules it now, with Allatu forbidden by Teosanu from taking it back. She does not recognize Teosanu's authority, but she does understand that she cannot overcome all of the gods at once without her world's resources. As such, her moves against N'Gar Dook take the form of an insurgency across Salbatanu, for which she often calls upon her students.
While the war rages, N'Gar Dook exploits the sands for iron.
Tourism
Both N'Gar Dook and Allatu bring warriors to Salbatanu. Sometimes these surges are overt, sometimes covert, and sometimes they aren't even voluntary. Neither god is above press ganging or blackmailing warriors to fight.
Alternatively, N'Gar Dook has convinced a fair number of nomad warrior societies that Salbatanu is a warrior's paradise where endless immortal glory can be won, and Allatu often requires graduates of her Scholomances to lend direct or indirect material aid to her forces, bolstering them with Undead and curses.
