Flora

Gildeberry

The gildeberry is the fruit of a bush native to Hesh. It is unpalatable, but not poisonous. Its most renowned for it strong, floral scent. It is often used to make gildeberry paste, which is used as a sort of cologne or perfume by men and women alike. Often it is also mixed with sand to create a scouring paste for bathing.

Impugi

A fruit native to the southern island of Cathraxis. Known for the almost unnatural cooling sensation caused by its juices, the fruit of the Impugi tree is considered a luxury across all of Erimos. A side effect of the juice, however, is that it stains anything it touches red. On skin, this lasts for several days.

Fauna

Rakflies

A common species of small, flying insect found across Erimos. They often prefer to feast on caracasses or other waste, and rarely bite the living. When they do however, their bite causes a stinging pain and swollen red welts.

Skisnik

Skisnik are a species of reptile native to the Red Wastes and the northern reaches of Hesh famous for being domesticated by the Grashni for use in hunting packs. They are also often kept as pets or guard beasts by some of the wealthier among the Heshian Empire, who have the power or influence to maintain a steady supply of skisnik trainers.

The master easily becomes the meal. Common saying among Heshian beastmasters.
