Maharajah class Cruisers

Due to the slow rhythmical movements of the Spheres of the Planes, the winds of Errilor are, for the most part, steady and predictable. The great sea toys and plays with these winds like some monstrous cat with a ball of twine, making sailing a hazardous pursuit and often forcing ships to dock miles from their intended port. However, on land there is very little to disrupt these great currents of air, and so the peoples of the world have adapted, and designed a range of Land-Sails which can be seen trundling across the landscape, at the whim of the seasons.   The most majestic of the Land-Sails is the Maharajah class cruiser. At 150 ft long and 30 feet wide it is by no means the largest of the land vessels, but its sleek design and flowing geometries ensure that is slices through the air like a dagger. Its wheel chassis is a marvel of mechanical engineering, allowing minimum resistance for the wheels whilst simultaneously rendering any bumps or dips virtually unnoticeable to the passengers. The sails are made of the strongest spider silks, and the hull of beautiful elven pinewood, both of which shine lightly in the sun.   Within, no expense has been spared to ensure the comfort of the travellers. While the crew of 5 scuttle about on deck, guests can recline in the shade of a raised pagoda at the rear of the craft, free to observe the landscape soaring by them. Should the weather be less clement, clientele can retire to the hold which is lavishly furnished, and usually includes at least one bedroom.   During peak Wind-tide, the journey from Meridia Terra to the edge of the coast can be made within a fortnight, twice as fast as on horseback, ten times faster than on foot and infinitely more comfortable than either.
