Geography

The Boiling Sea is a geologically active area full of volcanic islands, active, dormant, and extinct. Many of the islands are barren and unsuitable for habitation but there are also hundreds of perfectly habitable islands too. The area is largely home to pirates who use the many islands to harbor their fugitive ships and sell their illicit goods. Several large fleets operate out of the sea working together and pooling resources. More connected, and street savvy sailors know of a large island in the sea where the pirates conduct most of their business and stolen goods of all kinds exchange hands, and if the rumors can be trusted, dimension as well.
