— -A Warning to Thieves and Spies

A stone of gray with a shining green center - this artifact is proported to be the only remnant of Zalena Selentaar after her Ascendance. The truth of the matter is unknown - but what is known is that the "eye" does possess great sight.

History

The eye is first mentioned in the writings of the Nerlythian Empire. It speaks of those who came before and their finding of the eye as they first set foot on Velruun. It was a treasured relic of the Imperial Family and its use was often noted in regards to meetings with dignitaries and officials. It is brought up several times during the waning days of the empire, being used to interrogate those who would rebel against the Empire. Sporadic mentions of it show up in Dalsim and other former Imperial provinces, however none of them stand as substantiated as the records of the empire. The last reputable appearance of it lies almost 300 years ago in the possession of The Iykrizen Order. Since then its location has been lost to those looking to take advantage of its power.

Powers

Much like it's namesake - the eye is possessed of great power. While the full extent of its power is unknown, several documented uses of it are backed with considerable support: Farsight - Those possessing the eye can view in detail, any area they have previously visited. This is further extended by them being able to project their point of sight to anywhere they can see. The empire frequently used this to reconnoiter rebel formations.
True Sight - The bearer of the eye is capable of using it to see that which has been obsured. When focusing on the task - the user can detect all magically or conventionally concealed individuals within a 10 meter radius.
Heart Sight - The bearer may use the eye to detect the waverings in one's heart. The most common usage of this is to detect the dishonesty of prisoners under interrogation - or the lying words of visiting dignitaries.
