Followers of Korodish are given 'The Guiding Principles' which is a holy tome bound either in the skin of Brightlords or the hides of defeated monstrosities. These books detail how the Ossians need to live their lives and how to worship Korodish properly in order to remain alive, such as the nightly worship and alms for the Grey-Priests.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Korodish's holy symbol is a set of three purple eyes in a triangle formation with a bolt of yellow or grey lightning connecting each. When Grey-Priests or Brightlords cast their majic the holy symbol's eyes reflect those of Korodish perfectly, becoming small purple starlight skies, which has led many scholars to believe that when Korodish's followers cast majic their god actually sees through their holy symbol.
Tenets of Faith
- Majic is the root of all evil, only those who have been granted Majic by Korodish are trustworthy, as Korodish themselves manages this power, keeping it in check.
- Maje Cabals are either ignorant fools who don't know that they are playing with fire or evil people with only destruction on their minds.
- The other gods abandoned the world during the Cataclysm while Korodish stepped up and saved the Ossians. Worship of other deities is forbidden
- The most faithful of Korodish, their Brightlords and Priests, must be given alms if requested, as they continually sacrifice more than any other every day for the people of Ossia
- Self sacrifice is the best thing a member of the faithful can do, giving back to Korodish and the nation as a whole is the most honourable thing one can do
Holidays
Twice a year, at it's beginning and end, there are week-long holidays of celebration of Thanks to Korodish and just a general celebration of surviving another half a year. These festivities take place across entire cities and usually involve an hour-long sermon at the beginning of each day.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
It is well known to the world and the followers of Korodish that they want to destroy majic across the entire world though, what isn't known is why. When the Ossians first made contact and the pact with Korodish it was the mortals of Erensi that were suffering, not entities like Korodish. Some believe that Korodish was either wounded in the Cataclysm OR has been influenced through worship.
