Secret Symbols / Hidden Amulets, Tattoos, and Magical Glyphs

If you are walking through a bazaar in the realm of Ereglast, you are likely to see a wide variety of professions, races, and guilds.  I keen eye will be able to look upon most individuals and make some generalizations about those individuals, but a trained eye with an interest in jewelry will be able to deduce even more.
Amulets within the realm will tell you a great deal about a person.  What are their values?  What gods do they favor?  What is their profession?  Are they particularly proud of their country or king?  Are they a member of a local guild of some sort?  These types of symbols ranging from angelic wings and unicorns to represent gods all the way down to modest hammers and lumber for wood cutters are commonly found hanging from chains around the necks of honest citizens.
There are those others however who hide secret symbols around their necks.  Perhaps they do not wear those symbols are proudly for everyone to see, dangling from chains and glimmering in the sun.  Maybe instead these symbols are hidden under cloaks or tunics out of the view of common citizens.  These symbols may represent darker images.  Demons, blood dripping daggers, mystic eyes, burning fires, or dark ritualistic imagery.
If you are out and about in the realm and you notice that someone is acting strangely, or maybe they are not being entirely truthful, make a note of their amulet.  Is it in plain sight?  Or is it hidden?  Though a hidden amulet does not always signify an evil person or group, it can sometimes be enough to tip you off that this person is not so proud of the symbols they carry.  The same can be said for tattoos as well.  Often times if someone is a member of a guild or an organization of dark intent, they will choose not to carry an amulet at all, and will instead conceal their unions to those groups in the form of hidden tattoos, scarred brands, or magical skin glyphs.
