Mount Stromgard
Geography
Fauna & Flora
The lowest parts of Mount Stromgard's slopes are forested, with occasional clearings running up to the mountain. As the elevation increases, however, the trees thin out, giving way to slopes of granite, basalt, and pumice, with the occasional obsidian flow. As one climbs higher on the mountain, a year-round snow cap obscures everything, with several small glaciers filling some of the highest crevasses.
Deer and elk frequent the area, as most hunters avoid the mountain out of respect. Turkeys, grouse, and other game fowl make their homes in the trees and thickets surrounding the mountain's base.
Natural Resources
While Mount Stromgard is not actively mined for any minerals, timber is occasionally harvested from its lower reaches. Loose obsidian was taken from the mountain before the Northmen learned to harness the power of copper and steel, but now mostly lies unused.
The lower peak of the mountain is home to the Temple of the Summit, a small, round temple that seems to go long periods between uses.
