Messenger Tressym

Tressyms are small animals that look nearly identical to common housecats with one distinct difference. Tressym have two birdlike wings sprouting from the midsection of their body, allowing them to fly through the air. They have a similar demeanor to regular housecats as well; free-spirited, naturally curious, and the affinity to get themselves in trouble. They can be found all over Eraterna, but the Wutheh and the Tarkhal of northern Orbicentria have found a special use for the little troublemakers. The elves found that the Tressym love to travel and be on their own, but they always like to have two different homes to come back to for food, rest, and other activities. They are also very fast and nimble because of their cat bodies and wings. Traversing through the dense forests where the Wutheh live and the deep caves of the Tarkhal comes naturally to the Tressym. The Elves have used these graceful creatures as message carriers between the two nations and the process has proven quite successful. Tressym like to feel like they are helping their caretakers and have learned that safe message carrying is widely sought after between the two nations. The Tarkhal and Wutheh have set up stations within their cities that house their little couriers that provide food, water, and other comforts for the Tressym, and the creatures have come to understand that when a message is attached to their back that they need to fly off and deliver their letter to their other home as soon as possible. Life for the Tressym in North Orbicentria has become very easy for the feline because of this. They are pampered and adored by their owners and they get to travel often, sating their wanderlust. The Tressyms help has also brought a stronger alliance between the once warring Wutheh and Tarkhal and has kept peace in the north of Orbicentria for years.
