Succubus

The succubus is a seductive species, mainly targeting males who have cheated on their partners. Although there are some specific ones that target other people, it is mainly those of around 20+ years of age. The succubus changes appearance and teleports to greet the male, then after a while, kills him. His tortured soul stays with the the succubus in particular until they are unable to work anymore. Then, the souls are extracted to keep the magic flow of Esa going.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The average succubus in human form is fairly attractive, normally of a medium weight yet skinny, longer hair, normally dark, and features pleasing to the eye. However, the form on which they take occasionally is not as pretty. They have four arms, two where they are supposed to be and the other two slightly above the belly button. The hair is disheveled and messy, and they grow taller and are most likely bent over.

Genetics and Reproduction

Most succubi reproduce in regular ways, but a growing number of succubi are infertile, or can only reproduce with the same sex. Genetics are heavily relied on, and succubi run in the family.

Growth Rate & Stages

Succubi grow at a slightly slower rate then humans. Most succubus are able to first use their powers at age 17-19, but it's most common at 20. After, their power and their other form slowly grow until their later 30s, mid 40s, or even later, depending on how quickly the succubus ages physically, in human form. Either way, after this point (normally at 39, the peak of their power), they slowly start to have detiriorating health. Finally, at around 79 for the average succubus, their powers are practically wholely diminished.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Mainly eats the occasion soul, and incredibly dark magic past the point of resurrection. Their hunt for male souls occur at night when asleep, but they are still fully capable of doing whatever in this state. Their power is replenished during waking hours, mostly after the person wakes up.

Biological Cycle

Most powerful/mostly active in the summer months and winter months. Least active during the fall, and at that point they start to feel more drowsy. The more success they have in their duties, the more active they are.

Facial characteristics

The majority have very mature looking physiques, and most are acknowledged to be younger then they look. The same goes for the face. However, the most common features are hazel or brown eyes (not incredibly dark), small ears, medium size noses, and thinner lips.

Naming Traditions

The most common naming tradition is done 15 days after the child is born. In this, called "Sela alo'p", the mother picks fifteen first names for the child, and the father also picks fifteen. Then, five visitors come and casts three votes to the names they like best, totalling in fifteen. There are also other variations where fifteen people cast a vote each. After, the new grandparents count the votes, and the one with the most is the name of the child. Succubi have no middle names. Most common are names involved with light including : Light (unisex), Solia (Female) and Gha (Means sun in Ped'a, Male). Other names include : Qu (means lucky in era'erl, Unisex) and Cho'am (means incredible reward in Ped'a, Unisex). Last names are varied, but most are in Era'Erl, the third most common language Above.

Beauty Ideals

The ideals are simple : be attractive, or more specifically, be viewed as somebody attractive by multiple people. If the succubus doesn't fit that requirement, they are set for outcast.

Gender Ideals

Most succubi are females or feminine in appearance, since their main target are straight males, or people cheating with females. There is the occasionally guy and.or masculine appearing succubus, but they are few and far between.

Courtship Ideals

Most succubi are expected to be single until 30, and married by 47. But, 15 or any multiple of 15 are good ages to be involved in relationships by most succubi.

Relationship Ideals

Succubi have high expectations set for them, and non-romantic relationships are no exception. The average succubus is expected to have either high contact with their family, in a positive manner, or no contact with them, no in between. They are expected to have many friends, and liked by most teachers. Most important is Qru-Lao, their 15th birthday.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

All succubi speak the language of their region or taught to them, either by parents or their school. Most succubi use words like y'all, and shorten words to the point where they barely make sense. Some, however, don't enjoy short handing most words, and use longer versions.

Common Etiquette Rules

It is common for succubi to bow to the point where the tip of their nose reaches their knees. The youngest and/or lower social class bows first, then the other. If asking for money, succubi are expected to hand at least a nickel over, except if the succubus themself are in a tight financial situation and/or it's necessary (ie you have somebody in the hospital). Succubi are expected to be grateful for what they have and never throw tantrums or distract somebody else from their duties for emotional support, unless in special cases.

Common Dress Code

Little to none. The only real rule is to never wear dark clothing unless scouting, mainly for reasons of disrespect to the history, and being seen as ruthless demons.

History

The succubus was actually first called jma'u, meaning in English, 'strength by the sun'. The succubus was found by Erma Selaki, in around 123 KA. Although succubi are credited with being the first mythical species, they are mostly around Earth, doing their duties.

Average Physique

The succubi are somewhat skinny, but lean more towards a med-size body. The legs and arms are long, and the hands and feet are small, making them look slightly unusual, but still attractive.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Most have medium skin tones, not very light or dark. The skin is normally more of a warmer tone, leaning towards oranges and yellows. Succubi commonly acquire freckles, and maybe a birth mark on the knee. Other then that, they don't have anything worth noting.
