  writing the year 2186 July 16 on Earth This eclipse, "The One" is a celebration of a 7 1/2 minutes solar eclipse. Bieng the longest one in the century, makes it special. The festival, normally called the "Sun Down" event or simply "The Eclipse", is, as you might imagine, specific to Earth. A name 'The One' was given by a celebrity on the internet while talking about a concert they would give during the "Sun Down" Event. The name was voined and rapidly taking over on the internet. Calling it "the One" gave it a status and soon preparations for a big, maybe even the biggest global festival where made.   The event will be shown live on screens (real and virtual) all over the world (and beyond).

History

Solar eclipses are celebrated since the beginning of human time. It used to be a celebration out of superstition, as people feared the wrath of the gods. Now, people celebrate events, just to have an event.

Execution

The capital cities on Earth all participate in some way or form. Not all equally big because the event is not actually visible from all locations at once. There are a few cities favorite because they are know to be great places to go out. In any citie that actually participate, streets are filled with stages and events to celebrate through out the day. Numerous carnival attractions, foodstands, singers, bars, musicians and some even have a parade.

Components and tools

Hardly to call them components, but we need the Sun and Moon as seen from the Earth.

Participants

People from all over the world gather in the participating cities to celebrate the event.

Observance

An eclipse can be observed from any planet where there are other objects large enough to obscure the sun for a period of time.

This one is specific for Earth.
