Epios is a continent spanning from the marshy and treacherous terrain of Trair Echan in the north, the steep, verdant green hills of Aeres in the middle, to the blistering deserts of Vaspheqa in the south. Magic has its place in everyday life, sometimes dearly coveted and other times evenhandedly dispensed. Nature is treated as sacred by the wandering nomadic tribes on the steppes of Dirimas, while the nobles of Menmerin squabble over ever shifting territories. Even though they live in luxury, the inhabitants of Al-Tamesma bow deeply before the strict rule of the Empress.

Currently, the nations live in relative harmony. Recovering from a brutal stretch of battles between warlords, Trair Echan’s attention has turned inwards as something dark and sinister is brewing. During tribal councils at the heart of Aeres, the shamans of the Stone Hand tribe reluctantly admit that the numbers of the druids are dwindling. Vasphans keep a carefree and arrogant facade, yet strike immediately out at anyone wandering too close to their territories without proper documentation.
