Bophenti
Bophenti is a ruined building that has been quickly and sloppily repaired, at the very edge of function. It was once a store known as Baron Alphonse's Antiques, however many of the letters on the sign have been worn away, leaving its current name, Bophenti. The building was hastily repaired in order to be used as an emergency clinic site for those affected by Aetherbite as it is located in an area of very low magic density, slowing the dire effects of the affliction.
Purpose / Function
Originally Bophenti was a somewhat modest antique shop outside the city of Worthington called Baron Alphonse's antiques. It has been a long while since it has last seen use, but due to the increase of Aetherbite cases, in the last year it has been hastily patched up in order to function as a kond of clinic and research facility for a treatment or cure to Aetherbite.
Alterations
The roof and various walls very clearly have makeshift panels of woods and metals hastily attached in order to keep water out as much as possible with as much haste as could be afforded. The interior has similarly been hastily thrown together with various beds and research facilities with the barest of commodities. Im various places old shelves and antiques are clearly hastily pushed aside, somewhat due to priorities and somewhat due to the shorthanded nature of the Bophenti Healers equally patchwork group.
Architecture
Most of the original building stands, built with stone and somewhat lavish architecture, seeming almost like a very small castle. The interior it seems was once decorated similarly, with various candlebras and surely once-expensive carpets. Much of these see at least some wear and tear over the last 150 years, of those that survived at all. Apart from that the newest renditions very clearly were not constructed with nearly as much care or aesthetics. Any new additions are purely for functionality of the building as a pop-up clinic.
History
Baron Alphonse had built this shop somewhat counter-intuitively outside the city away from most people. This was due to the fact that he was already very well off being a Baron, and had actually had it constructed to house his considerable collection of antiques. Eventually after the Baron had died and left it to his heirs, they had let it turn to ruin as its style and location lended it to essentially no purpose.
Tourism
Some used to stop by the ruins, however the air around it always felt to most a bit unnerving. Now the visitors the building sees are either new unfortunate patients or hopeful scholars and mages with generous hearts.
