Ephedra

Ephedra is a world born from the shattering of the Everheart. The Perfect desired a perfect world, and so it made one, governed by the Everheart, keeping reality perfect and crystallized. But when a ghost in the machine happened and someone broke free, they convinced the Perfect that allowing the world to exist on its own would create something even better than perfect. And so they became the first gods, and the Everheart was broken, allowing the world to truly live, instead of just exist.   As the world carried on, others achieved amazing feats and were offered a Throne, making them part of the Eternal Circle of gods, part of the contest to prove to the Perfect that it did not make a mistake. Civilizations rise and fall, and the world spins on, a complex interplay of life.
