History of Eoth
The small continent of Eoth was settled by humanoids roughly 800 years ago near the western shores. Little is known aboutthe Founding , as much of the written history was destroyed during the Fall of Mages, but the following is clear:
Since then, as the population of Eoth continued to grow and expand, gradually moving east, and is divided among several kingdoms, dominated by humanfolk. When the eastern shore was reached, border disputes became more common, and kingdoms were forced to ply more coin upon military pursuits, largely at the expense of the working classes.
Ket in the west maintains much of the coastline and engages in trade by both land and sea.
The Dorian Grasslands in the north boast the renowned Dorian Horseriders, known for their ferocity in battle and nomadic lifestyle.
The Gran Kesh also lies near the northern climes. The latest of the matriarchal lines to rule is Queen Argonia in the capital city, Tarkesh. She has a son, Prince Arlon and a daughter, Princess Arnette.
The the east, Gadlinook derives much of its success through fishing and trading.
Little is known of Zinab to the south. The inhospitable coastline and a well-build border wall isolates the region. It is said that those inhabiting Zinab have white skin and can see in the dark, and are infamous for their assassins, though this may be only rumor.
The remainder of Eoth is sparsely populated.
- The Age of Magic: between 500 and 600 years about the dominant governing body in the land was the Order of the Magus. Great and Powerful mages maintained order over the continent. It is said that during the Age of Magic many magical artifacts and spells were crafted.
- The Great Fall: about 450 years ago, the Age of Magic ended suddenly and mysteriously. Records were destroyed, along with centuries of magic research and knowledge.
