Eos

In the semi-distant future, humanity expands into space and colonizes many new planets. One of these planets is called Eos, for the Greek goddess of Dawn.   Eos is populated by people from all over Earth, who came to the new planet seeking jobs and a new start. Following age-old migration patters, they settled in enclaves, often making new homes that resembled the ones they had left behind on earth. However, the distribution and settlement was greatly different from Earth's, leading cultural diffusion and exchange that wouldn't otherwise occur.   During the expansion into space, a series of wars and cataclysms fractured humanity's interplanetary civilization, leaving Eos, as well as most of the other colonies, separated and incapable of space travel.   Following the loss of most technology, the societies on Eos reset and evolve, returning to the old ways, as humans often do in times of crisis. The ethnic enclaves of Eos become new societies, civilizations, and states, both like their original cultures and not.   Empires rise and fall, kings rule and die, and the wheel of history keeps turning. At the time of this story, the world of Eos is entering a new modern age, great powers clash for dominance, and nine extraordinary stories unfold.
