Backstory Summary

Born into Clan Erudak, an offshoot of Clan -, Fjarldt quickly became one of the strongest in a clan of individuals who value strength, but not warriors. His offshoot, specifically, dealt with the trade of information in Kaerndal. Clan Erudak hired out reclaimers and trained its individuals to seek out knowledge and wisdom, to be ferried back to Vloihsh so that the military forces of the Dragonborn are not left brainless or without technique.
However, Fjarldt was never as intelligent nor quick-witted as his kinsmen. It was clear from the outset that he would be a great fighter, but never a great scholar. Given the childhood name “Cotbreaker” after a fit of toddler’s rage shattered his crib, Fjarldt has had several expectations placed on him. First, he was thought to be a scholar, but then he proved too slow. Then, he was thought to be a reclaimer - but he was not agile enough to circumvent ruins. Finally, his clan decided to send him out as a seeker - someone who struck out into the world to find wisdom and information, whether it be scholarly, martial or tactical.
Determined to do his people proud, and happy to finally have a purpose, Fjarldt swore an oath to himself - to devote himself entirely to the tenets of Dragonborn honour and his gifted mission. Finally, after years of thinking himself below the grade, Fjarldt’s powers manifested in a brilliant display of draconic might. Foolhardy, headstrong and duty-bound, Fjarldt set off to seek wisdom - from whom, he did not know.

Family Ties

Yundek and Ayrbrn of Clan Erudak. They chose each other late in life at the age of 20.
Yundek is one of the high scholars of their clan, a silver dragonborn and his mother. Ayrbrn was a brass dragonborn, a great master, a scholar, and Reclaimer - and went missing about five years ago.
Yundek is somewhat disappointed by her son’s lack of academic rigour, but she is proud of the rest of his achievements. She emotionally distances herself from him, as she is very duty-bound, but she is starting to soften in her old age.
