Eophon

Eophon is the world of my ongoing, now multiple DnD campaigns.   In the way of all DnD worlds it is a post apocalyptic mid-to-high fantasy setting taking inspiration from Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, and whatever I happen to be reading at that point in time.   In the distant past there was a global empire of sorcerer kings who ruled the world from floating spires. Prone to madness and paranoia they wrought such havoc amongst each other and the surface world that the gods themselves chose to intervene. The god of law sought to bring down their emperor in one blow, and the emperor responded by crashing his spire city into the god, destroying the city, killing himself and his people, and pinning the gods corpse to the seafloor where it burns and boils the sea to this day.   Eophon is a world in transition. There are many places where feudal serfdom is the law of the land and power is still held in the hands of those with the most money, the most magic, the most weapons, etc. However there are some places like Lenash that, despite all their problems, are still on their way to becoming the first democracy.   Time has passed and this story has been forgotten, and this is whenabouts my players usually enter.
