The Quarantine Corps
Even in the early stages of the Fog's development, some in the German High Command expressed fears of the weapon growing out of control. If this gas was stolen by the Entente, or somehow used within the borders of Germany, the consequences would be disastrous. In response to these fears, as well as the growing effectiveness of the Fog, the Quarantine Corps was formed as a task force. Intended to be utilized if one of these potential "wonder weapons" went awry, these men are equipped with specialized weapons, armor, and equipment in order to deal with any potential threat. Now, with the spread of the Fog, over ten thousand men of the Quarantine Corps are now nearing position outside the Zone. They, along with whatever support they can drum up from other sectors, will hold the line.
Structure
The Quarantine Corps act under a typical military hierarchy, organized under the command of General Heinrich Schulte.
Public Agenda
The goal of this Corps is to deal with any unintended consequences of the new weapons the Germans create, as well as dealing with any new British weapons that other units cannot handle.
Assets
The Quarantine Corps consists of 60,000 elite soldiers and 20 tanks, fitted out with some of the more advanced and effective technology the Germans can bring to the field. In addition, they can also call upon other units to support them when necessary. Currently, only 10,000 are around the Quarantine Corps, the rest engaged elsewhere.
