The Mouth of Mount Glaurym

Mount Glaurym is a fiery active volcano located at the center of the continent of Cruyan. Throughout the history of the Capitol of Cruyan, Glaurym has be a source of fearful stories and a dangerous obstacle to travelers. Pre-dating the the empire of Cruyan, Glaurym was said to have erupted for the first time nearly 700 years ago. This is when the myth began, detailing the creation of a gate to the nine hells at the mouth of the volcano. At the summit of the moutain, a violently blazing orange mouth with sharp, teeth-like, spires surround the rim of the active volcano. reaching the tip of the mountain is difficult enough, but those who have made the journey describe a burning excitable lake of molten rock that delves deep within the mountain. It is said that one's presense alone near the mouth of the volcano excited the flameds, burning increasingly hotter over time. It is believed, if one were to leap into the volcano, whose heart was of pure evil and sinful desire, they are to be sent directly to a fiery hell of torment and pain. Many live in fear, the volcano is home to a demonic entity of flame and torment, and the volcano imprisons them within. That one day evil will make progress and release who they call Maguerna from her bindings into the world.

There is also the story of the Fiery Pit. Somewhere in deep in the Ashen peaks lies a trench of intense flame and lava that follows a direct path to the prison of a Titan, lost in history and shackled for betraying the Gods during the Divagation. Rorn the Blazing Fury, cursed to fuel the fire of the volcano above draining his energy and lifeforce for eternity. He is often confused and associated as the same entity as Maguerna but the legends speak of her as a powerful Elemental created to help contain Rorn within.
