Elken, under the lead of the Cymadev Dynasty, corners the world's market in gunpowder.
The Primex Crown passes to Vedmar Madrogal I. Despite his name, he was actually the fourth such Primex, but claimed to be a reincarnation of the original. Since this event, the count resets from III to I every four Primexes as a tradition. It is customary in the histories to simply say "The Primex Crown passes."
Centurion Senator Rolant Mark Undertow was discovered as a Sevreian cultist after leading a semi-successful eugenicist movement that attempted to cull sections of the population he and his ilk found undesirable.
The Primex begins construction on the facility at Veleshad, and a town is built atop it to obscure its true purpose. When it is completed five years later, it first serves as a research facility for new weapons technologies focused on dealing with large aerial threats. The facility is code-named Skylance. It will go on to supply Arnast with its lightbeam pyrimidal defense structures (Generational Hedrons), Gatlingspire with its weapons, and introduce many additional, unknown weapons to Centurion's forces.
The facility at Veleshad pivots from Skylance after it is repurposed to Project FORGE (Formative Oblexic Recombinant Generative Extants).
Project VIPER (Veleshad Institute for Pathological Emergency Response) is established at the Veleshad facility. Dr. Janas Falswain is its first director. The program was made to develop deadly infections in order to find their cures to have on-hand in case of outbreak.
The Primex orders every member of his council arrested. They were all tried for and found guilty of treason, and were executed the same day. The plot uncovered in the following years was a sinister ploy by Arnast to undermine Centurion forces to allow for a full-scale invasion, a fact backed up by Atue Runtoyek's own admission over a century later. This would raise tensions with Arnast to the highest they had ever been, putting Enos on the edge of war.
Every person in Veleshad is killed on the night of 16 Prima this year, their bodies left where they lay. The area has not been visited since by few, but those that have looked from afar say no rot has taken the corpses in the area now known as the ruin of Caidence's Thrust.
Atue Runtoyek, the Dying Queen leader of the Queendom of Arnast, publicly apologizes for her role in undermining Centurion's sovereignty. This ends what came to be known as the Century of Tension. Ambassadors were sent from Arnast to Centurion and vice versa in numbers not previously seen, establishing the network of diplomats known as the Queen's Voice.

The Southern Withering wipes out half the crops and a third of life on Enos in the single largest blight to ever sweep across the plane.
