Xaishre

Xaishre is one of the five main continents of the Material plane.  It is home to primarily wood elves, wild elves, shadow elves, fey, woodlings, intelligent animals, plant creatures, anthropomorphs, and tauric creatures.  Xvart also live in several regions and are considered pests by all others.  It is the most central and northernmost continent, and a large portion of it is highly influenced by the Feywilds.

Geography

Western Coast

The wild races on the Western coast of Xaishre have long traded with the draconic races, goblins, and gnomes of Mysianiseius, such that the common distrust of dragons and wizards so commonly shared by the inhabitants of the rest of Xaishre is almost non-existent there. Most of this trade is done in Xaishre, as the inhabitants of Mysianiseius are typically the more prone of the two to wanderlust. Natives of this region of Xaishre share the continents common preference of staying close to home.   Also atypically, inhabitants of this region see value in constructs. Most prefer they are not made of metal, mitral excluded, but it is not uncommon to see a wood, clay, or stone golem, or even the occasional homunculus, assisting with common tasks.   When compared to the other inhabitants of Xaishre, those from the coast are less judgemental, more accepting, and more open to outside ideas and information. As such, they're typically better informed of outside events and methodology, especially those of the East coast of Mysianiseius.   At the Southern tip of this region lies the great dock city of Nivinia, a hub of trade for Xaishre and both Northern and Southern Mysianiseius. It is one of the few cities on the entire continent that can truly be said to be industrialized, with large buildings, production facilities, stone roads, and other sights virtually unheard of in the rest of Xaishre.

Northern Region

One of the most Northern features of Xaishre is a massive lake fed by several springs called the Dowella Lake. Remarkably, three different rivers naturally flow from its waters. The Nixilli from the North and to the coast, the Gyutoro from the West, and the Dowella from the South and all the way to the Southeastern coast. Much of the land surrounding these bountiful waters is one large, equally bountiful jungle. Naturally, numerous settlements have been built here, most of which by anthropomorphs, and life thrives in the exceptional conditions.   Just South of the Dowella Lake is a massive, long dormant volcano called Ceoluua. A metropolis of the same name surrounds its entire base in an enormous, unbroken ring. Only a few smaller mountains stand with Ceoluua and all are unnamed or called different things by different people.   Southeast of the Dowella Lake is a much smaller lake called Emalanu. The Emalanu Lake has a single river called the Lathili River that flows into and merges with the Dowella. Founded in the V where the rivers meet is the city of Trisiel.   On the Eastern coast of this region, mountains block the wet winds from the North, creating the only dry region in all of Xaishre. Still, life thrives even here in the area known as Xt'Chtli by the thri-kreen, Maodwan by the loxo, and Tsavash by the yuao-ni.

Central Region

In the West of this region is a large, verdant forest called the Umonowe Glade. It is one of only a handful of locations in all of Enmilon where the coterminity of all six inner planes are in a perfect cycle. This creates six distinct, equally long seasons. Umonowe has a large fey population that is divided into six courts, one for each season. The courts are in a constant, subtle, political battle with each other, but never go to war. The six main houses of the courts surround a large lake in the center of the glade called the Sasayuo Spring, equidistant from each other, with opposing houses being on opposite sides.  At the center of this lake is a massive tree, the branches of which are in six unbroken sections.  Each of these sections shows a different season year round, and they rotate, constantly and very slowly, throughout the year, like a giant clock.   Near the center of this region is a city called Faxifel built on a specialized dam that splits the Dowella River.  To the East, it flows into the Makuna'i Forest and to the coast, and to the West, it is called the Faxifel River and peters out into groundwater.   In the Eastern part of this region is the city of Oamantl on the Northern coast of the Sthoote Lake.  It is a largely elven city, but much human influence can be seen in its architecture.    Refugees from Zidrik seeking a better life often end up here, but are almost always second class citizens.

Southeastern Region

The Makuna'i Forest takes up the bulk of this region.  It is an enchanted forest, mostly inhabited by plant creatures and the tribal societies who hunt them for food. The Omalani tribe occupies the East near the coast, the Memyahi tribe occupy the West, and in the center on the Dowella River is Vushiko territory.  Many woodlings, ents, and wood woads live here as well and, being intelligent plants, are usually well respected, or sometimes even worshiped, especially by the Memyahi.   In the Southern part of this region, nestled between two peninsulas, is a cluster of islands called the Aletero Archipelago.  Aquatic elves and fey live here, both above and below the surface.  Merfolk and other races from farther out at sea can usually be found here as well, trading, socializing, or simply enjoying the sun.  The peninsula to the East is largely a tropical, jungle paradise, though the peninsula to the West is vastly different. The Shadow plane's influence is strong here and the flora and fauna are large and alien.  The shadow elves who reside here call it Nijkali.   For reasons unknown, there are notably less fey in the Southeast than other regions of Xaishre.  Some have speculated that the presence of humans and orcs have driven them away, but most argue that they would have just moved farther inland, rather than abandon the entire region.  When questioned about it, the fey usually give uninformative answers such as "I am unsure," or "I have little reason to go there."

Sosoani Island

Sosoani is a large island separated from the mainland by a narrow band of water from the Northwest to the Southeast.  It is mostly covered in mountains that are home to earth fey, cold fey, and snow elves.  The Nankiti tribe is located in a floodplain in these mountains.
