Vardell
The continent of Vardell is located in the Center of the World, with the Osmidian Sea to the west and the Estebien Ocean to the east. From here, both the continents of the Summer Lands and the Desolation Expanse can be easily reached, with just a short hop across channels of water to reach either the Goldcrest Beaches or the Shores of Dusk, respectively. It is a place of relative peace and prosperity, outside of the occasional regional conflicts. Here all core races can be found in abundance, with the cultural capitals of the drow, high elves, and halflings located in their heritage cities.
A Land of Diversity
On the continent of Vardell, there exist nations for the dwarves, high elves, wood elves, drow, halflings, and orcs. While there is no "human" nation per se, both the Grand Duchy of Karneth and the Verdant Kingdom are considered majority human populations. Most species of beastfolk can be found in these lands as well, and the continent supports a variety of terrains, from deserts and swamps to plains and forests to hills and mountains. Deep within the old forests can be found many of the fey, and the Moonspire Mountains are home to some of the oldest and darkest forces once can make contact with. A Land of Heritage
With the cities of Cirith Celestia and Tharn Undorlean originally serving as the seats of power for Latheriel and Dovrathien, Vardell is rich in the history of all elvish descendants. The great halfling city of Harhm, likewise, while not built until after the death of the deities and the emergence of the core races, is built upon the Plateau of Garth, said to be the place where Haraheth contemplated much of her mischief against the other deities during her time. Von-Korant, while holding no particular place in prehistory, is a cultural pilgrimage site for many orcs of the Von-Yarg tribes to visit before the boldest of them attempt to journey to the Summer Lands.
