The Crowfields
The Crowfields is a clearing deep in the Bushback Woods haunted with birds as much as it is with rumors. The ground is littered with the bodies of ravens and crows, all seemingly dead, though it is very common for these apparently deceased specimens to suddenly take flight. Locals have taken it upon themselves to redirect wandering travelers from the site, restructuring paths and detours to stray as far from the Crowfields as possible. Though many refuse to speak to outsiders about it, some small bits of information have leaked, including the fact that nobody has ever seen any crows die there."The crow settles down
And dies a while. Just as fast,
It takes flight once more."-Soana Frosban, Life and Death in the Bushback
Geography
The Crowfields consist of a singular clearing among a particularly thick stretch of woods stretching about 50 m in diameter. The ground, when visible beneath all of the bird corpses, is coated with a very dark green skin of grass.
Natural Resources
The Crowfields' main resource is the deceased crows that lay inside its perimeter, with the bodies being good sources of feathers and bonemeal. Many refrain from approaching the area despite these potential goods, however, based on its inherent creepiness. Those who dare to enter often do so for the likely deceased birds, typically to study them with magical intent.
